Care & Support
VolunteerCare and Support
Serve with our Care & Support ministry, whether through prayer, providing meals or supporting families through a time of loss.
The care team wants to join God in changing lives through humbly extending Christ’s compassion to those facing life’s challenges through prayer, sharing, mentoring, counseling and/or benevolent giving. By God’s grace, we desire to be a Christ-centered ministry for all people where the power of the gospel, both by word and deed, is continually transforming lives.
If you are going through a difficult time, we have a place for you. There are many different care and support resources available that provide connection to and support from people who know exactly what you are going through.
Care Givers are trained individuals who provide confidential, one-on-one, Christ-centered care for those hurting and going through major life changes. Care Receivers are matched with a Care Giver. Info meetings take place each summer, with training August-December.
GriefShare is for people grieving the death of someone close. Sessions are combined with confidential group discussion and a manual designed for reflection and journaling. Whether your loss is recent, or the pain is still overwhelming long after, you are welcome.
GriefShare's Surviving the Holidays is a seminar offering support and practical tips for facing holiday challenges after loss. You will be welcomed by warm, caring people who understand what you are going through and who want to help.
DivorceCare is for those who are going through one of life’s most difficult experiences and want to find help, discover hope and experience healing. Learn how to deal with the pain of the past and look to rebuilding your life.
Giving Hope is a faith-based support group for people who love someone with addiction or mental illness. We gather together to share our struggles, how God helps us get through the ups and downs and spend time in prayer for each other.
