If Jesus is God, why did He pray? Should Christians worship the Holy Spirit? And what do we say when people accuse us of believing in three gods instead of one?
Questions like these aren’t new—they’ve perplexed Christians for centuries. In fact, they’re some of the very issues that led to the creation of the Nicene Creed nearly 1,700 years ago. This simple, clear statement of faith defined, once and for all, the core truth of who God is and what Christians believe. It’s so clear a child can memorize it, yet so profound it has united believers across traditions and continents for centuries.
Pastor Jamie will guide us through this ancient confession with a unique, first-hand perspective from his travels to Turkey, the very place where the Creed was written.
Together, we’ll uncover why it still matters today: it clarifies our understanding of God, confronts false ideas about Jesus, and anchors us in the historic, global church.

Jamie Thompson, Lead Pastor
